St. Peter’s West Penn

The 9 a.m. Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will have a Joyous Noise offering. Adult Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m.

Vacation Bible School will be held Monday through from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 18.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Debra Rogers will be bringing the message God has placed in her heart to her second Sunday ministering at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown Valley. The service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Road. There will be special music in addition to congregational singing. Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m., which is a new time. All are invited.

There will be no Sunday evening service. The prayer group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The church thanks all who administered, taught and attended the Vacation Bible School held last week by the two Lewistown churches.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Zion Church in Lewistown Valley. The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:30 a.m.

All are invited to watch the movie “Amazing Grace” at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the social hall.

Rush-Ryan-Delano Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano Senior Citizens had their annual summer picnic at Zion Church in Barnesville. There were 37 members in attendance.

The picnic was catered by Hess Catering of Schuylkill Haven. Members said the food was delicious.

The group also had a basket raffle, which was a success. There was no business meeting. Bingo was played.

The next meeting will be held July 22, weather permitting.
