July 2, 1975 — George Kurtz hits a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Palmerton to an 8-6 Lehigh Valley League walk-off victory over Lehighton. Kevin Moyer’s three-run homer in the fifth helps Lehighton turn a deficit into a 6-4 lead, but the winners get one back in the sixth before Kurtz’s dramatic blast in the ninth. Kurtz ends with two hits and three runs, while Conrad “Smokey” Everett collects a pair of hits and three RBIs. For Lehighton, Denny Keuhner finishes with two hits and a pair of runs, and Eric Snyder adds two hits and a run.
