For the second time this year, the beach at Tuscarora State Park in Barnesville is closed to swimming.

The Rush Township beach was shut down on Tuesday due to water quality.

As a precaution, the beach will remain closed until acceptable water sample results are received.

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has posted closure signs at the park’s entrance and beach area.

The swimming area was also shut down on June 3 for the same reason.

Other activities such as camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing are available.
