Lehighton gallery showcases duality of human nature in new exhibit

Ever feel a little angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other?

You’re not alone — and now there’s an art show for that.

Aileen and David Miller, the creative duo behind Within Harmony and The Outer Hall Gallery in conjunction with The Lehighton Area Merchant Association, will present their latest exhibition, “Saints and Sinners” this week. The exhibit runs from July 2 to July 31 at Within Harmony, located at 182 S. First St. in Lehighton.

This delightfully dramatic showcase dives deep into the duality of human nature — where halos and horns collide.

Featuring original works from artists across Carbon County and surrounding areas, “Saints and Sinners” explores the good, the bad and the irresistibly complicated in between.

“This isn’t your Sunday school version of saints and sinners; it’s way more fun,” Aileen Miller said.

From the soulful to the strange, “Saints and Sinners” features original artwork that challenges the idea of black-and-white morality. You’ll meet local saints, depictions of temptation, and maybe even a fallen angel who’s just here for the vibes.

An open house for the event will take place from 6-8 p.m. on July 11.
