Route 309 in Kline Township will be closed for an indefinite period of time today due to a tractor trailer crash. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. Saturday when the operator of the rig apparently lost control as he was traveling south descending the Mile Hill.

The rig, carrying dairy products, crossed all four lanes of the roadway, entering the northbound berm plummeting a 100 feet down a steep embankment.

State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
