The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following personnel items:

• Hiring of professional staff — Allyson Bartschi, Kindergarten teacher, PVES, $52,642, effective Aug. 20, replacing Sydnie Christman (change of assignment).

Also, Abigail Rosas, first-grade teacher, PVES, effective Aug. 20, replacing Jill Goffredo (change of assignment); Julia Daly, biology teacher, PVHS, effective Aug. 20, replacing Mark Rehrig (retired).

Also, William Mattei Jr., biology teacher, PVHS, $52,642, effective Aug. 20, replacing Shannon Mackes (retired); Kirsten Fischer, biology teacher, PVHS, $52,642; Lance Soodeen, science teacher, PVMS, effective Aug. 20, new position; Lesley Doff, ELA teacher, PVMS, $82,742, effective Aug. 20.

• Hiring of long-term substitute professional staff — Victoria Lindner, second-grade teacher, $52,642, Aug. 20 to Nov. 14; Nancy Ryan, kindergarten teacher, PVES, $52,642, Sept. 19 to Dec. 18.

• Hiring of support staff — Jessica Constantinou, paraprofessional, PVIS, $27,586, effective Aug. 20, replacing Robin Devivo (retired); Stephanie Gavilanes, paraprofessional, PVHS, $27,586, effective Aug. 20, replacing Maria Pastrick (resigned); and Maryellen Perloni, paraprofessional, PVIS, $27,586, effective Aug. 20, replacing Lyn Owermohle (retired).

• Student custodial/maintenance summer workers — Abigail Roberto, custodian, PVES, and Matthew Oriol, custodian, PVHS, both $13 per hour.

• Supplemental contracts: Athletic non-coaching (2024-25 school year) — Hope Christman, spring, middle school worker, $35 per event; Matt Gould, spring, varsity worker, $45 per event; Danielle Henry, spring, middle school worker, $35 per event; Allison Hoak, spring, varsity worker, $45 per event; Tracy Pio, spring, varsity worker, $45 per event.

• Supplemental contracts: Athletic non-coaching (2025-26 school year) — Shaina Gill, winter, varsity worker, $45 per event; Shaina Gill, winter, junior varsity worker, $41; Michelle Piontkowski, fall, varsity worker, $45; junior varsity worker, $41, and middle school worker, $36; Anne Morton, fall, middle school worker, $36, varsity worker, $45, spring, junior varsity worker, $41, spring, middle school worker, $36; Paul Fenner, fall, marching band equipment driver, $35 per hour.

• Stipend for Coverage (extend) — Christine Deutsch, special education supervisor, stipend of $122.36 per day, June 2 to 13.
