At the meeting the school board rescinded hiring Steve Krechel as head coach of the golf team, and then turned around and approved an independent contractor agreement with Krechel beginning Aug. 15 as head coach for golf.
The board also approved having him be the intramural adviser for golf, and his work as an instructor to the homebound for 2024-25 school year at a rate of $29 per hour.
Affecting the school district’s security officers, the school board approved an update to the Administrative/Administrative Support Staff Compensation Plan 2025-26 through 2028-29 to include the addition of Act 235 Security Officers. By doing this, it reclassifies three regular security officers to the status of Act 235 Security Officers.
