The northbound lanes of Route 209 in Franklin Township were closed Wednesday evening due to a motor vehicle crash. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. at the intersection with Wagner Street involving an Estes truck tractor and a sport utility vehicle. The SUV sustained heavy front end damage while the saddle tank on the rig was ruptured causing a substantial fuel spill. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
