State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said a woman stole an estimated $500,000 in a deceptive purchases scheme at a Chestnuthill Township business.
Police arrested Sabrina Roman, 46, of Effort, on charges of theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, identity theft, access device fraud and receiving stolen property.
The charges were filed in Magisterial District Court 43-3-04, after which time Roman was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.
Police said Roman had been an employee of Prosser Laboratories, 104 Chipperfield Drive, Effort, where she used company credit cards to make personal purchase during the period of August, 2025, through this month.
Police said she was taken into custody and arraigned.
