June 19, 2012 — The Birches spot visiting Hellertown seven runs in the first inning before rallying for an 11-10 NorCo Legion victory. After falling behind, RBI singles by Adam Raseley and Troy VanHouten highlight a six-run bottom of the first to pull the Birches within one. The winners, coached by Allen Faust, receive an RBI double in the fifth from Aaron Cetnar, who later scores on a double steal. Cetnar also picks up the win in relief, with help from Dan Hrbek who comes in to get the final out via a strikeout with the tying run on third. VanHouten tops the Birches’ offense with a 3-for-3 showing.
