Mahoning Township will look to put a mirror back up to improve safety along a roadway.

Supervisor Ron Reeser informed supervisors on Wednesday that the township found a mirror that can be put back up at the intersection of Route 902 and Country Club Road.

It was agreed that the township road department would install the sign with assistance from the township police department.

A mirror that had been along a portion of Route 902 near the intersection has been down for about eight months.

There had been a crash at the intersection in April.

Reeser said that putting the mirror back up wouldn’t take too much time.

Supervisor Deb McGowan previously said that PennDOT just wants the mirror put on the post.

Reeser at that time suggested the township contact PennDOT and tell the agency that the township will put the mirror up if it provides traffic assistance.
