Mauch Chunk Lake Park is gearing up for again hosting Movies on the Beach this summer.

Last week, the board of commissioners approved an agreement with Lehigh Valley Events and Productions LLC of Allentown to host four moonlite movies at the park. The cost of $9,622, includes a 30-foot screen, generator, stage panel, movie licenses and rental shipping. This is covered through funds received from Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau.

The board of commissioners said that these movie nights will take place on June 28, July 26, Aug. 30 and Sept. 27.

More information on the events, or in the event of inclement weather, there will be posts on the county’s Facebook pages.

This is the second year the county is hosting movie nights at the park as a way to build community engagement and provide family fun events.
