Walnutport has approved a pair of new pacts for its employees.

On a 6-0 vote, with one abstention, borough council on Thursday approved a four-year contract for the borough’s Public Works Department.

Councilwoman Jennifer Wentz abstained from that vote.

The contract calls for a $2 an hour pay increase in 2026, along with a $1 an hour pay increase in 2027, 2028 and 2029.

Also on Thursday, borough council approved a new four-year contract for the borough’s part-time secretary.

That contract includes a $1 an hour pay increase in 2026, along with a 75 cents an hour pay increase in 2027, 2028, and 2029.
