Nesquehoning Historical Society wants to show the evolution of wedding gowns over the last century.
On Saturday, the society will open its doors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to showcase gowns it has collected from the 1930s to the 2000s and explain just how bridal dresses have changed over the decades.
Lois Kuba said that gowns really changed between the 1940s, when materials were scarce due to the war, to the 1950s postwar styles.
A total of 15 gowns will be on display in the main hall of the society; however, all exhibits will be open to visitors.
The society is located at 157 W. Railroad St.
