Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

June Mission: Faith Alive Benevolence Fund.

Jude: A new series on “Jude: Contending for the faith once delivered” will be held in Leah’s Room beginning June 15. The sessions will be led by Baron Cebrosky.

Bowman Park Camp: June 28 will be a cleanup day. Help is needed. At 7 p.m. on July 6, there will be a God and Country Service. Camp meeting service is held with Pastor Brenda Smith at 7 p.m. on July 18-20; and with Pastor Al Smith on July 25-27. Grace Notes Concert 7 p.m. on Aug. 3. Youth Camp is July 12-18; Junior Camp, July 27-Aug. 2; and Children’s Camp, Aug. 6-9.

Upcoming outdoor services: July 13, Aug. 10 and Sept. 14. Worship is held at the church pavilion.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Blessed ministry: Coming soon, “The Blessing Room” at the church. For those in need of food or clothing. The room will be set up in the previous chapel room. Take what is needed without judgment, but please clean up after you are done to keep the room neat. Open to all Faith Alive attendees. Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), will host a community picnic on Aug. 2. The rain date is Aug. 3.

The event begins at noon. There will be lunch, a cakewalk, raffles, kids activities, cornhole tournament, live music and more.

Bring your lawn chair. The picnic is held in the picnic grove off Route 209 behind the fire company.

Save the date: JUCC Apple Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Oct. 4. Crafters and vendors are needed. Space will be available in the grove and inside the church.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels of Palmerton delivers hot lunches to residents of the Palmerton Area School District.

The service is available to those returning home from a hospital stay or may just require some assistance preparing meals.

Lunches are delivered around 11 a.m. Monday to Friday, for a small fee.

Services can be provided for adjustable lengths of time.
