The Rev. Stanislaus J. Fronczek, pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lansford, is celebrating the golden anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.

Father Fronczek was named pastor of the church on Feb. 5, 1958. He previously served the parish as an assistant pastor for 10 years (1934-44) and had been its administrator for six months before his elevation to the pastorship.

He was ordained on May 26, 1934, in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Philadelphia, by Auxiliary Bishop Gerald P. O’Hara.

Following his ordinations, he was assigned to churches in Cumbola, Northampton and Philadelphia.
