May 23, 1983 — Panther Valley uses a pair of solo homers in the bottom of the sixth inning to turn a deficit into a lead and then hangs on for an 8-7 victory over Bishop Hafey. With the Panthers trailing by a run, Mike Weston connects for a longball to center field to tie the score. Two outs later, Ron Vislusky drills a fastball off the car barn at PV stadium to put his team ahead. Greg Pecha, who earns the win in relief, tosses a scoreless seventh to preserve the victory. Vince Krajcir finishes with three hits and two RBIs for the Panthers, while Bob Rohlfing adds two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.
