Panther Valley area candidates
On Tuesday voters on the municipality level in the Panther Valley on Tuesday will have contested races only in Lansford borough, as there is an apparent shortage of candidates in both Nesquehoning and Summit Hill.
The Lansford contests are both on the Republican ballot, including a three-person challenge for the party’s nomination for the office of mayor, and four persons seeking three GOP nominations for seats on the borough council.
The race for the GOP nomination for mayor is between Denise A. Leibensperger, Bruce Markovich and Bob Silver, whereas the four Republican candidates for three party nominations is between Patrick Walsh, William J. Chuma, Gwyneth A. Collevechio and George Gilbert.
