The Carbon Plaza Mall Merchants Association yesterday named the winners of the Bicentennial art contest it sponsored.

They included:

Grades 1-2: Amy Hoppes, St. Joseph’s School, Jim Thorpe; John Sidoriak, West Penn Elementary; and Maria Vandenbord, St. Joseph’s School, Jim Thorpe.

Grades 3-4: John Appicello, West Penn Elementary; Jackie Kerr, North Ward School, Tamaqua; and Jane Ann Moser, West Penn Elementary.

Grades 5-6: Robert Novak, SS. Peter and Paul School, Lehighton; and Karen Digilio and Joseph Spisak, both of St. Michael’s School, Lansford.
