I am writing in support of the candidate Kim Laird for Panther Valley School Board. There is no need for me to explain the impact Kim has had on our community as an educator in this district for over 37 years. As the recipient of the National LifeChanger of the Year Award in 2024, her contributions to education and support of her students speak for themselves. Her legacy is evident in generations of residents in our area and throughout the world, her former students, whose lives she has changed through her work as a Panther Valley teacher.

This is to expand on the potential Kim Laird has as a future Panther Valley School Board member. As a resident and taxpayer in this district, she has a personal interest in the continued success of Panther Valley even after her retirement as an educator.

Kim has a strong understanding of the students, school staff, and families in Panther Valley. She has taken her pursuit of this new role to serve them seriously, preparing for the opportunity through personal and professional development. She has recently participated in a Grant Writing Workshop, School Board Training focused on policy development and budget/finances, Treasurer training for best practices and report preparation, and a LEAD PA elected officials panel discussion. She intends to ensure the Panther Valley School Board addresses the needs of the school community with fiscal responsibility and thoughtful leadership.

Kim Laird has already proven herself a dedicated champion of education.

Now, she is ready to continue that commitment as a voice for all of us on the Panther Valley School Board. I urge my fellow residents to join me in supporting Kim in this important election.
