East Penn Township board of supervisors conducted the following business last week with supervisor Keith House absent:
• Road foreman Brandon Bradford reported that dead trees were removed along German’s Road, though some trees near power lines require professional removal.
Bradford will obtain estimates from tree service companies.
• A seal coat bid from Asphalt Maintenance Solutions was approved for work on various township roads. • Several items were tabled, including the county radio upgrade and heating and cooling system improvements at the community center. • The board approved a 2-year franchise agreement with BRC, with Supervisor William Schwab abstaining from the vote.
• They also voted to lift the township burn ban. • A public hearing for Berger Creek Road was approved and will be advertised for June 2, at 5 p.m. • A management conference hearing for resident Duane Schleicher is scheduled for May 22. • The township’s new website is live at www.eastpenntownship.gov.
