Walsh seeks nomination for Lansford Borough Council

Patrick Walsh has announced his candidacy for the Lansford Borough Council, expressing a strong desire to serve the community with a focus on fiscal responsibility and transparent governance.

He is running on the Republican ticket.

“I would like to become a more dedicated member of our community,” Walsh said, emphasizing his intention to help further the council’s efforts and support both current and future initiatives aimed at preserving and improving Lansford.

A retired certified public accountant, Walsh brings more than 28 years of professional experience in audit, accounting, and business advisory services.

He is a graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in business and administration, majoring in accounting.

His career has included conducting and managing financial statement audits and reviews for a range of organizations — from small businesses to Fortune 100 multinational corporations.

Walsh has lived in Lansford for the past seven years and recently accepted an appointment as deputy to the Lansford Tax Collector, volunteering his time to support and enhance a vital financial function of the borough.

“If elected to Council, I want to improve fiscal accountability and transparency within the borough,” Walsh said. “With my experience, I believe I can provide positive insight into areas of cost analysis, budgeting, and accounting.”

Walsh concluded by thanking the community for the opportunity to express his candidacy. “I would be honored to bring my experience and assistance to the position of council member and to serve the residents of Lansford,” he said.
