ZOW Junior presents ‘Alice in Wonderland JR.’ this weekend
The ZOW Junior proudly presents Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland JR.,” a 60-minute musical adventure perfect for all ages.
Performances are 7 p.m. Friday (sold out), 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Auditorium, Second and Iron streets.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are available at Carbon County Music (Boys and Girls Band Hall, 197 N. Sixth St., Lehighton) from 3:30-5 p.m. or through any cast member.
This updated adaptation of the classic Disney film and Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories features a fresh script and score tailored for young performers.
Join Alice, played by Lydia Hearn, as she tumbles down the rabbit hole into a whimsical world where nothing is as it seems. Along her journey of self-discovery, Alice appears in three forms: Lydia Hearn as Alice, Jolene Papay as Small Alice, and Bella Eckhart as Tall Alice.
The cast features beloved characters including: Carly Green as the White Rabbit; Katherine Diehl, Ashlynn Kirsch and Brooklyn Sewak as the Cheshire Cat; Eva Durigon as the Caterpillar; Emily Dick as the Mad Hatter; Olive Hunt as the Queen of Hearts; Phoenix Derr as the King of Hearts; Camille McClintic as the Dodo; Kiersten Diehl as the March Hare; Ashlyn Arace as the Dormouse; Caroline Cosslett and Violet Heist as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum; Eve Haupt as Mathilda, with Leah Hofmann and Amelia Yeager as her friends; and Hannah Papay as the Doorknob.
The whimsical Flower Ensemble includes Auraleyna Thiessen (Rose), Rowan Kattner (Violet), Hailey Pisulak (Petunia), Willow Brown (Daisy) and Mila Madesi (Lily). Playing the deck of Cards are Penelope Mann (Ace of Spades), Olivia Stuckley (Two of Clubs), Eva Madeira (Three of Diamonds), Samantha Sterner (Four of Hearts), Abigail Nied (Five of Spades), Marley Guy (Six of Clubs), Madison Brown (Seven of Diamonds) and Lily Fredericks (Eight of Hearts).
The Wonderland Ensemble includes Abram Eckman, Addison Stahlecker, Ajah Neff, Alex Svetz, Annaliese Remmel, Audrey Martin, Brandon Firtion, Caleb Hearn, Caleigh Kerestes, Camryn Gillespie, Daily James Dougherty, Kaiyah Mesaros and Piper Snyder.
Audiences will enjoy classic Disney tunes like “The Golden Afternoon,” “The Unbirthday Song” and “Painting the Roses Red,” plus new songs inspired by the 2010 live-action film.
Directed by Laura and Adam Reichard, with choreography by Laura Reichard, the production features set design by Duane and Pati Reichard, and costumes by Nancy Keiser, Pati Reichard and Casi Reichard.
