The Carbon County Salary Board approved rate changes last week. Decreases in the hourly wage are due to the position being vacated and the salary step reset to the starting rate. Changes take effect May 1 unless otherwise noted.

• Abolish the position of one full-time assistant public defender at the AFSCME Union prevailing rate.

• Establish the position of one assistant public defender at the AFSCME Union prevailing rate.

• Change the rate of two county caseworkers I in Children and Youth Services from $20.49 per hour to $19.99 per hour.

• Change the rate of one part-time corrections officer from $16.85 per hour to $16.44 per hour.

• Change the rate of one Emergency Management Agency coordinator from $25.23 per hour to $27.85 per hour, effective May 12.

• Establish the position of one EMA administrative assistant I trainee at $19.03 per hour.

• Change the rate of one part-time parking/meter attendant from $14.56 per hour to $14.20 per hour.

• Change the rate of one tax claim bureau assistant director from $22.33 per hour to $22.89 per hour, effective May 12.
