The difference in votes cast for Jack Breslin and Ambrose O’Donnell, both of Summit Hill, for Democratic state committeeman, was reduced by one today after Judge James C. McCready overruled a decision of the county Board of Election in the computation of votes cast in the West Ward of Lansford.

As a result, Breslin, who following the official count by the board led his opponent by 16 votes, now leads by 15, the count being 2,197 for Breslin and 2,182 for O’Donnell.

The action terminated argument on the recount by Albert Prutzman, attorney for O’Donnell, and George Shutack, counsel for Breslin. O’Donnell’s argument centered around seven votes cast in the Lansford district as well as other ballots whose markings he claimed were inconsistent with those ordered by law.
