Residents of Split Rock raised concerns about excessive trash buildup and overcrowding in short-term rentals during the public comment portion of Kidder Township’s board of supervisors meeting last week.
Michele Banks questioned whether Split Rock residents were paying their sanitation bills.
“It seems like we’re pacified when we ask questions and not getting a response or resolving issues,” she said.
Supervisor Noel Torres responded, saying, “It will go to court if they don’t comply. We will be hiring a part-time codes officer.”
In a related matter, the board authorized advertising for a part-time codes officer.
