One person was seriously injured Friday morning in a T-bone type collision in Rush Township. The crash occurred along Route 54 just west of Apple Lane around 10:30 a.m.

The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before LifeFlight 6 transported the critical patient to a trauma center.

Area fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway.
