Two youths were injured in an UTV crash on Saturday in a farm field in Ryan Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said a 10-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother were airlifted to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, after the crash.

They said the mishap occurred around 1:15 p.m. on private property in the area of 41 Front Street.

They said the girl was operating a Polaris Ranger utility terrain vehicle, with her brother as the passenger, when she lost control of the vehicle and hit a large tree.
