The Coalcracker Barbershop Chorus will be performing at the American Cancer Society Telethon between 3:45 and 4 p.m. on April 12.
Those who would like to support the ACS by making a pledge via the chorus’s segment can contact member Blake Tharp at 610-570-4417 or send a message via the Facebook page, “Coalcracker Chorus.”
The Coalcracker Barbershop Chorus has other activities lined up, including performing at the annual Sellersville Songfest on June 17, and performing the national anthem at both the Lehigh Valley IronPigs game on Aug. 12 and the Reading Fightin Phils on Aug. 19.
Anyone interested in having the chorus perform for their events or interested in joining the group is invited to contact them or stop by the Tamaqua Arts Center on Mondays between 7:30 and 9 p.m. during rehearsals.
Membership is open to men, women, boys and girls of high school age or older.
There is no cost and no commitment regarding attendance, just an interest in singing in harmony.
