A Monroe County man is facing charges and also extradition proceedings following his arrest on Monday.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to a home on the 7500 block of Mountain Drive, in Tobyhanna, to serve a warrant on James A. Hurt, 42. He is wanted out of Warren County, New Jersey, for a probation violation.

Police said Hunt was also charged for an incident on Nov. 16, 2018. Charges include simple assault, harassment and flight to avoid apprehension.

Hunt is currently an inmate in the county prison in Snydersville awaiting extradition proceedings.
