Volunteers are needed to help search for Jesse Farber, a Tamaqua man who has been missing for almost a decade.
The search is being organized by Farber’s family and friends and will begin at noon Sunday at the Tamaqua Area High School, 500 Penn St.
Search parties went out on two days in late September to look for Farber after the Advocacy for Closure Foundation noted that new leads into Farber’s disappearance were uncovered.
Farber disappeared in August 2015, shortly after phoning his girlfriend, Rachel Carroll, for help. He was last seen walking on the S curves toward Tamaqua from the Lewistown Valley.
Despite search efforts in the days and months after his disappearance, he was never found.

Anyone with information on Farber’s disappearance should call Tamaqua police. His case was recently highlighted by the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers, with billboards detailing his disappearance placed at multiple locations.
