Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Kim Leskovich will provide the message at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary Evangelical Church in Lewistown. Special saxophone music will be provided by Lindsay (Heisler) Schegan.

The 6:30 p.m. Sunday small group sharing will feature music and words from the Bible.

At 2 p.m. Oct. 26, there will be a Happy Harvest pumpkin carving event at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle. Pumpkins will be provided. All ages are invited.

St. Peter’s — West Penn

The 9 a.m. Sunday worship service at St. Peter’s Church in West Penn will be followed by a Belgian waffle fundraiser. Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m., and the church board meets at 10:30 a.m. Girl Scouts meet at 6 p.m. Sunday.

On Oct. 24, the Cherub Choir meets at 6 p.m. and the Senior Choir meets at 7 p.m.

Chicken dinner pickups will be held from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 25.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Oct. 10, with 23 members present. The president opened the meeting. One member was added to the sick list. The invocation, “God’s Ray of Sunshine,” was read.

Refreshments were served and the meeting closed. Bingo was played.

The group meets at 1 p.m. every Thursday at the Coaldale Complex. New members are welcome.
