Walnutport Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Agreed to install a garage door at Carbon Street in the amount of $11,490 to be paid from out of leftover grant funds.

• Agreed to have borough solicitor Michael Corriere draw up a draft for a parking ordinance on public streets by next month’s meeting.

• Announced that Coffee with a Cop will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Giant.

• Announced that Walnutport Canal Days will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20.

• Agreed to allow fire police to help at the Walnutport Canal Days on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 per the request of the Lehigh Township Lions Club.

• Announced that trick or treat will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30.
