Attractions
• Yenser’s fall fest is open weekends through Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. free parking, hayrides and access to pick your own pumpkin patch. Activity wristband required for corn maze, air cannon, reindeer train, and farm fun zone kids area. Located at 1910 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton.
• Old Homestead Tree Farm, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through October. Pumpkin patch, hayrides and paddle boats. Located at 1165 Strohls Valley Road, Lehighton.
• The Electrifying Jack O’Lantern experience features thousands of hand-carved pumpkins, presented in a creative, artistic display. A walk-through event from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, 570 Fairground Road, Gilbert. Tickets: electrifyingjackolanterns.com.

• Dorney Park, The Haunt, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, 4000 Dorney Park Road, Allentown. Monsters, mazes, shows, and more every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, from 6 to 11 p.m., until Oct. 27. There is also a new family event during the day on Saturdays and Sundays that is more spooky than scary called Tricks and Treats.

Events
• Cash Fall Kitty Bingo, Sunday at the Orioles Community Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Bingo begins at noon. Benefits the Carbon County Friends of Animals.
• Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold its Annual Fall Basket Social and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be a theme basket raffle, baked goods, homemade soups, filling, chowchow and apple butter available.

• The Weatherly Area Museum’s annual Cemetery Walk will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Union Cemetery, where people will learn about the great influencers of the Weatherly Area School District.
The walk will last about one hour and cross varied terrain, both grass and pavement. People are invited to the museum afterward for a discussion and refreshments. Donations are appreciated.
Festivals

• People’s EC Church fall fest from 6 to 8 p.m. today, free festival is for families to enjoy fall children’s festivities centered around fun Christian fellowship. There will be food, face painting, crafts, and more. The church is located at 216 Wagner St, Lehighton. For information or to help, call 717-460-3494.
• Harvest festival, from 1 to 3 p.m., Oct. 26, Cornerstone Community Church, 388 Polk Township Road, Kresgeville. Harvest-themed trunks with treats, games, crafts, face painting, food and much more.
Halloween
• Jim Thorpe Rotary Club Ghost Walks on Fridays through Sundays through November. The one-mile trip starts at the Inn at Jim Thorpe, past the Treasure Shop, Millionaires Row, Mauch Chunk Opera House, continues to the Old Jail Museum with stops at the Parsonage, St. Mark’s and finally down West Broadway to Race Street, and ends at Josiah White Park where stories of the Asa Packer and Harry Packer mansion are told. Led by a costumed storyteller, the walk lasts about one hour. • Howl-O-Ween Party, presented by Char-Wills German shepherd rescue, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Hot food for sale, bake sale, free popcorn, fall photo shoot, basket raffle. Canine Costume Contest at 12:30 p.m. 2 E. Railroad Ave. New Ringgold.
• Northern Lehigh Recreation Trunk or Treat, from 5:15 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 18, at Eagles Nest Park. To set up a trunk register online.
• Boy Scout Troop 138 is holding a haunted maze fundraiser at Jim Thorpe Camping Resort, located at 129 Lentz Trail Road. This event will be held today and Saturday, and Oct. 18 and 19. Hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on all four dates, and this event is open to the public. It is a walk-through maze with live actors and props from mild to wild that will definitely scare.
• Spooktacular Halloween Fun Night, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Oct. 19, 800 Laurel St., Jim Thorpe. Halloween games, treats, and a special movie screening at the grove. Wear your favorite costume.
• Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat, from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 19, at West Penn Park, 698 Zions Stone Church Road, New Ringgold
Come out in Halloween costumes and Trick or Treat from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be pumpkin carving, games, food and more.
• Trunk-or-Treat, which will be hosted at the Nesquehoning Hose Company No. 1, will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 19.

• A trunk or treat sponsored by the Panther Valley Intermediate School Parent-Teacher Organization will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Panther Valley Intermediate School, 678 Panther Pride Drive, Lansford.
• Maple Shade Meadows, 50 Locust St., Nesquehoning, will host a trunk or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25.
• The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 360 along with Weatherly police, Citizens Fire Co. No. 1 and Sernack Farms will host Pancakes and Pumpkins Halloween Safety Program from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 19 at the American Legion in Weatherly with complimentary pancakes and pumpkins. Preregistration is required by Oct. 12.
• Witches Night Market, Lehighton, from 2 to 10 p.m. Oct. 26, Wine & More on 1st, 165 S 1st St, Lehighton.
• C.H.O.S.E. of Coaldale is hosting Halloween activities from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Complex Park, 141 W. High St., pumpkin decorating contest, trunk or treat, music, food for sale. Kids in costume get a free hot dog, drink, candy, gift. Prizes will be given for different age groups. Pick up a pumpkin anytime from now until Oct. 31, decorate it, and return it to C.H.O.S.E. Concession stand will be open at 4:30 until 9 p.m. and will be offering a large selection of food for sale. Anyone interested in decorating a trunk or a table for Trunk or Treat, contact “Coaldale C.H.O.S.E.” through Facebook to reserve a spot.
• Heidelburg Union Church and Germansvile Fire Company will host a trunk or treat, 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at the fire company, 6011 Memorial Road, Germansville. Cars must be ready by 2:45 p.m. Hot dogs, firetrucks. 610-767-4740.
Parades
• Annual Andreas Halloween Parade-Andreas Sporting Club, 7 p.m. Oct. 16. The event will be hosted by West Penn Township Lions Club, sponsored by West Penn Lions, VFW#5069 and Andreas Sporting Club. • Palmerton Halloween Parade will be held at 4 p.m. on Oct. 20.
• Tamaqua Halloween Parade, 7 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 22, E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Join us for a night of fright and delight at the area’s largest Halloween parade. The parade will start at 7 p.m.
• Jim Thorpe Halloween parade, at 2 p.m. on Oct. 26. Lineup is at 1 p.m.
Rain date is Oct. 27, same times. Registration deadline is Oct. 22.

Parade route: Coming out of high school parking lot onto Olympian Way, left onto Center Street from Olympian Way to Ninth Street, right on Ninth Street. Ninth Street from Center Street to North Street, Cross North Street continuing on Ninth Street until Lehigh, left onto Lehigh Street until Fifth Street, left onto Fifth Street; crossing North Street continuing on Fifth Street, right onto Center Street. Follow Center street from Fifth Street to Third Street.
• Weatherly Area Community Chest’s Halloween Parade will be held Oct. 26 at Tweedle Park, High Street, Weatherly. Registration is at 1 p.m. and the parade is 2 p.m.
Prizes, candy and refreshments will be at Eurana Park, where the parade ends. Organization need to show up and register to participate.
