Washington Township Emergency Management Coordinato Joe Mead reported to the board that the Emergency Operations Plan is complete.
Updates included options for shelters and warming/cooling centers in the township, and an Emergency Operation Center should the need arise.
The plan establishes a list of off-hour vendors for things like fuel delivery, crane services, spill remediation and demolition contractors.
The emergency plan goes into effect in case of major emergencies that could affect life and property, This plan is for EMS, the board of supervisors and the fire companies in Washington Township, Slatedale, Emerald and Friedens.
In other business, the supervisors released the budgeted $18,140 donation to Northern Valley Ambulance.
The budget meeting is approved for 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 15.
Trick or treat will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 30.
Ordinance 2024-1 was approved to make Spring Lane a one-way street.
The supervisors approved $8,500 from COVID money to purchase a new boiler for the township building.
And work on Eagles Nest walking path is set to start about Oct. 14.
