Parryville Borough Council recently announced the following:
• A grant was denied to repave Main Street as it was deemed not bad enough to repave. Council submitted a grant for $167,150 for new sidewalks along Main Street, which will be ADA compliant.
• The borough reported $41,000 is due to the borough for trash bills from property owners. A list of all delinquent bills will be collected with notices to be sent to the property owners who have 30 days to pay. If the bills remain unpaid a lien will be placed on the property for five years. A new lien is required every five years.
• A payment of $3,090 will be paid to S and G Asphalt for the basketball project. Fifty percent of this money will go back to the borough from the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau.
• Bids will go out over the winter for the Cherry Alley project. It will be delayed until the spring of 2025 as the cost of materials has gone up.
