Franklin Township Supervisors took the following action on Tuesday:

• Approved the police pension minimum municipal obligation for 2025 of $65,383.

• Approved the non-uniformed pension plan minimum municipal obligation for 2025 in the amount of $87,398.

• Approved the request from the Franklin Township fire chief to participate in the Lehighton Fire Department’s 150th Anniversary Parade on Sept. 28; Lehighton Halloween Parade on Oct. 19, with a rain date of Oct. 20; and the Carbon County Veteran’s Day Parade in Lansford on Nov. 10, with a rain date of Nov. 17.

• Announced that there will be a change in garbage collection for the Columbus Day holiday. The Oct. 14 pick-up has been changed to Oct. 15.

• An Electronic Recycling Event will be held from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 19 for township residents.
