Experience the marvel of autumn bird migration at the Bake Oven Knob Hawk Watch on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Over the past 64 years, Lehigh Gap Nature Center and its founding members have counted more than 800,000 migrating birds of prey at Bake Oven Knob, a rocky outcropping atop the Kittatinny Ridge.
From the Bake Oven Knob parking lot, which is off Bake Oven Road near Germansville, people will hike a short but rocky section of the Appalachian Trail to a lookout, where they will be able to observe the migration.
The event is free to both Lehigh Gap Nature Center members and the public.
For more information, email mail@lgnc.org or call 610-760-8889.
The nature center is a member-supported nonprofit conservation organization in Lehigh Gap at the foot of the Kittatinny Ridge.
