Carbon County Sentencing

The following people were sentenced in the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas for the month of August:

• Alan Peterson, 61, of Sparta, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence: general impairment/incapable of driving safely and was sentenced by Judge Steven Serfass to serve 13 days to six months imprisonment in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. He was also ordered to complete 25 hours community service.

• Dale Neal Schleicher, 44, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to four counts of driving under the influence: controlled substance — impaired ability and driving with a suspended license. He was sentenced by Judge Steven Serfass to serve up to seven years in a state correctional facility. He was given credit for 54 days served.

• Joshua Michael Rehrig, 26 of Kunkletown, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking-movable property. He was sentenced by Judge Steven Serfass to serve four years on probation as well as render 200 hours of community service.

• Tyler Werner, 20, of Lehighton, entered the ARD program for a period of one year and was ordered by Judge Steven Serfass to pay a fee of $450 as well as restitution of $769.64.

• Erin Erica Brennenstuhl, 47, of Galloway, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to a first offense driving under the influence-general impairment/incapable of driving safely charge. She was sentenced by Judge Joseph Matika to serve 72 hours to six months in the Carbon County Correctional Facility, complete a one-year license suspension and 25 hours community service. She was given credit for nine days served.

• Mark Ronald Jacoby Jr., 45, of Sugarloaf, pleaded guilty to corruption of minors and indecent assault-person less than 13 years of age. He was sentenced by Judge Joseph Matika to serve three months to two years in the Carbon County Correctional Facility as well as submit a DNA sample, register as a sexual offender, render 75 hours community service and have no contact with the victim or victim’s family. He was given credit for 12 days served.
