Mahoning Township supervisors recently took the following action:

• Adopted an ordinance to reduce the speed limit to 25 mph from Breezewood Drive to Breezewood Road.

• Rejected the Mahoning Site LLC land development for a solar field on Country Club Road, unless the township receives an extension by Aug. 31.

• Granted conditional approval of the Lands of First Northern Bank (Summit Ridge, 63 acres in the rear), conditioned upon Peter Eisenbrown’s letter dated July 6. This adjoined these lots to the land development Summit Ridge.

• Granted the Lehigh Valley Hospital escrow release in the amount of $57,000.

• Agreed to have the township engineer review the Sage Meadows reduction of the LOC. Sage Meadows is 15 acres, 10 lots.

• Approved the Banning subdivision. This is a split subdivision between Mahoning Township and Jim Thorpe Borough, with the majority of it being in Jim Thorpe.

• Approved a resolution concerning the stormwater fee schedule.

• Approved the Community Development Block Grant resolution for general application.

• Tabled the township municipal authority zoning permit (storage shed and pump station waiver fees.
