Lehighton Area School District’s board of directors hired a long-term substitute teacher and two paraprofessionals during its meeting Monday night.

Heather Mullen joins the district as a long-term middle school family consumer science substitute at a salary of $51,804.

The board also hired Beverly Gillis, an elementary paraprofessional, and Karen Kieffer, a middle school paraprofessional, each at a salary of $20,310.

Two resignations were accepted Monday including Marianne Slaby, high school family and consumer science teacher, and Kellie Lanko, middle school paraprofessional.
