Planning for the October Tamaqua Community Hunger Campaign has begun.

Last year’s campaign distributed $17,000 to food pantries at American Primitive Methodist Church, Trinity United Church of Christ, Stokes Ministries and Zion Evangelical Lutheran, all of Tamaqua.

The campaign is a project of the Tamaqua Area Faith fellowship Network, a group of lay leaders from community congregations.

TAFFN is encouraging each congregation and civic and service organization to designate a member as a liaison or contact person to the hunger campaign.

More details concerning the campaign will be shared after August planning meetings.
