The inaugural Rush Township Disc Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 31 at the John M. Ryan Memorial Park in the village of Hometown.

Presented by the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission, proceeds will benefit the Kisses for Kyle Foundation.

The tournament is a two-round singles event and beings with registration at 8 a.m. A players meeting will be held at 8:45 a.m., and Round 1 begins at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided beginning at 1 p.m., and Round 2 begins at 2:15 p.m.

There will be prizes for winners in each group.

The Kisses for Kyle Foundation offers a variety of services to families fighting childhood cancer, including financial assistance to help with bills, such as rent and mortgage, car payments, utility bills, travel expenses, wigs and food.
