The second annual Central Pennsylvania Bigfoot and Cryptid Festival will be held on Aug. 3 at the All Homes Day Park, Memorial Avenue, Elysburg. The event will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Festival organizer Gwendolyn Purcell claims that “Pennsylvania is the third highest state in Bigfoot reports with Washington and California being first and second. There are a lot of festivals and conferences on the western side of the state. I wanted to bring something closer to home, so people interested in the subject, could attend.”

Bigfoot guest speakers will include Jami and Jenni King; Bill Rigby; Michael Cook, who has been featured on Travel Channel’s ‘These Woods are Haunted;” Les O’Dell and Sharon Buck.

Over 85 vendors and seven food trucks will be at the event. Several costumed creatures will be on hand including, Bigfoot, Mothman, a wendigo and more.
