Carbon County commissioners Thursday approved several personnel moves:

Employment separation: Alea L. Gillen, Jersey City, New Jersey, lifeguard, Parks Department, effective June 17.

Hires: Douglas L. Bennett of Slatington, full-time solicitor, Children & Youth, effective June 26; and Brynn S. Jones, Summit Hill, county caseworker I, Children & Youth, effective July 10.

Change of status: James E. Youngkin Jr., Nesquehoning, from sergeant to acting records supervisor, Corrections, effective June 24.

The commissioners also acknowledged these court and row office appointments: Brandon M. Gawrys, Whitehall, probation officer I, Adult Probation, effective June 24, and Nicole M. Tokarick-Harmon, Marlin, treatment court probation officers I, Adult Probation, effective June 24.

Salary Board

The Carbon County Salary Board took action on one item Thursday. The board changed the rate of one secretary III in the Commissioners’ Office from $15.97 an hour to $14.83 an hour, effective June 20.
