The Pleasant Valley School Board approved the following personnel items last week:

• Change to current assignment - Mark Sandt, custodian second shift to first shift, PVMS, replacing Joyce Christman due to change of assignment; Kelly Shane and Ninette Kurtz, paraprofessionals, PVES to PVMS; Eugene Keefe, custodian at PVIS to maintenance technician districtwide, $21.46 per hour; replacing Richard Courtright; Jennifer Cirba, gifted teacher at PVHS to sixth-grade teacher at PVMS;

• Hiring of professional staff - Moriah Flyte, biology teacher, PVHS, Step 1, $52,642, effective Aug. 21, replacing Jordon Cook; Michele Goodman, school nurse, PVES, Step 14, $74,542, replacing Tiffany Steigerwalt; and Cevrina Vazquez, school counselor, PVHS, Step 1, $56,842;

• Hiring pf PV Cub Summer Academy staff - Susanne Rasely-Phillipps, cultural navigator, $58 per hour; and Meghan Kondisko, substitute teacher, $92 per day;

• Hiring summer computer technician - Patrick Soares, $13 per hour

• Hiring support staff - Daylene Evans, custodian, PVHS, $18.74 per hour, replacing Blaine Borger due to change of assignment; Sherely Melendez, paraprofessional, PVIS, $26,914, replacing Laraine Gartrell; Erelene McCormick, paraprofessional, PVES, $26,914, replacing Kathleen Maltez due to a change of assignment, Bruce Coffman, electrician, $35.10 per hour;

• Hiring of teacher for Learning Recovery Opportunity - Nicole Composto, $58 per hour;

• Intramural advisers - Angelica Zimmerman, girls basketball; Jeremy Goff, basketball; Jessica Holmes, cheerleading; Jeremy Goff and Trevor Kresge, weightlifting; Tara Hyland, girls soccer; Laura Ammerman, tennis; John Smith, Michael Kaiser and Jeremy Regina, boys lacrosse; Robert Hahn, boys basketball;

• Student activities - James DeVivo, woodwind ensemble, PVHS;

• Rescind hiring - Heather Adams, school nurse, PVES;
