An induction ceremony for the Tamaqua Middle School National Junior Honor Society was held recently in the district auditorium.

Forty eight seventh graders were inducted during the candle lighting ceremony.

Outgoing president Corabel Najarro led the pledge to the flag.

Various eighth grade members participated in the ceremony, along with assistant principal James Hahn, and faculty members Lauren Ahner, Nicole Evan and Charlene Shannon.

Honor society adviser Megan Frantz was the master of ceremonies.
