Tamaqua Senior Citizens

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on May 23 with 22 members in attendance.

The president opened the meeting with the invocation, “God’s Promises.”

Two members are on the sick list, and the group welcomed back two members.

The annual summer picnic will be held Aug. 8.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited.

Rush, Ryan, Delano seniors

The Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens met on May 28 with 39 members in attendance.

President Robert Neifert opened the meeting with the invocation, “My Prayer for You.”

Diane Gould and Brenda Zeller were added to the sick list. One member was welcomed back.

Memorial heart magnets made by Doris Brobst were given to all members. A beach bag and garden flag was chanced off and won by Larry Bower.

The anniversary dinner was held and refreshments were served.

Stephanie Gerhart donated and made cakes. Linda Mundy made barbecue. Ice cream was provided to all members. The meeting closed and games were played.

The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. June 11 at Christ Church, Barnesville.
