The Panther Valley School Board approved three resignations along with a number of personnel moves last week.
Lucy Kozuch, a junior/senior high teacher, and Robert Thomas, an intermediate schoolteacher, retiring at the end of the school year.
The board also approved the resignation of Georgine Wetzel, a junior/senior high school cafeteria worker, for retirement, effective May 31.
In other personnel moves, the board approved:
• Conferences totaling $422.20 as follows: Jamie Yarish-Gallagher, Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit workshop, $40.20, and David McAndrew Jr., Advanced Education Together Summit, June 20-21, Harrisburg, $382.
• Three-credit courses for Mary Ribarchik, Elizabeth Hoherchak and Lauren Edsall. The four courses sought are at $516 a credit.
• Volunteers for the current school year: Joseph Kociolek, Amber Lamb, Jeanne Knepper and Susan Rickert.
• Extracurricular and support activities for 2024-25 school year: Carissa Houtz, percussion assistant; Nancy Gardiner, homebound instructor, and Melissa Wickersham, detention monitor, per rates in union contract.
• Staff for 2024 Summer Kindergarten Program: Tina Frets, Jill Horn, E. Horerchak, Heather Wagner, Melissa Gilbert, Debra Nevenglosky, Rebecca Chuma, rates per union contract.
• Designate Jesse Walck, business manager, as open records officer for the district.
• The job description of central office secretary/transportation clerk.
• A professional services agreement with Lanae McKelvey, effective July 1, 2024, to July 1, 2025, to perform psychology record reviews.
