Lehighton is looking to raze a shed located between Jokers Are Wild Game Cafe and the borough parking lot on Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard.

Borough manager Dane DeWire said at last week’s borough council meeting that the owner is aware, and is all for it.

After the meeting, DeWire said the building is not on borough property.

He added if it is to be razed, the owner of the building would need to file for a demolition permit.

DeWire said there have been discussions with the property owner, and he is interested in having it removed.

Councilwoman Autumn Abelovsky said she initially brought the matter up last month in the event the borough would want to pave the parking lot.
